Ecotherapy for Individuals & Groups

What you can expect

When we embrace and join with nature, we have the potential to unlock a world of insights and lessons.  Utilizing nature as our ally is a powerful companion.  Eco-therapy sessions might include trying something new, outside of your comfort zone like hiking, climbing, camping, tracking or outdoor art therapy techniques, writing, ritual and ceremony and so much more.

Even if you believe you are not an “outdoorsy” kind of person, part of learning to heal and grow is gently stepping into a new realm.  I understand that for some, spending time in nature might initially feel unfamiliar and uncomfortable.  I will serve as your guide and take great precautions to keep your safety and wellbeing my priority.

All ecotherapy sessions will be provided outdoors and based on your location and length of session. Sessions / intensives can range from 2 hours to 3 days.  If you have a location preference, I do have the ability to come to you as long as my schedule permits.  Because each session is highly individualized, the cost of eco-therapy intensives will vary based on   length, location,  number of participants requested activities.

To discuss participating in any of our nature based offerings, please fill out our inquiry form and we will schedule a call right away.

Rachel has changed my life in profound ways. One of those was an experience in nature that changed the direction of my life forever. By gently guiding me back to Mother Earth, I felt held and supported in ways I hadn’t felt when “alone” in the past. The meditation in nature was both profound and simple; itdidn’t require “knowing how”. Learning more about syncing with nature’s rhythm, and the cycles a of woman, specifically, experience revealed answers to questions I had been seeking. I highly recommend Rachel and her services.

I can’t say enough about the benefits of including outdoor/nature-based activities as a part of treatment for eating disorders. When Rachel first suggested we take the clients on a therapeutic rock-climbing/camping trip, I was equal parts excited and worried. The logistics, the conditions, and of course the food all seemed like unknowns, which isn’t easy for a therapist who is used to working in the nice, neat, and structured confines of a therapy office. Luckily my concerns were short-lived.

This is where Rachel’s skills emerged. Her comfort ad confidence in nature helped make everyone (including me) feel adventurous, but also safe. Right away, I could see the therapeutic challenges and benefits happening. There were clients who signed on immediately and some who took several therapy sessions processing and weighing the options and going outside their comfort zone. Physical health, commitment to recovery, meal compliance, social stressors, and more were all considerations. The desire/motivation to participated pushed clients forward in all those areas. Once out in nature, there were many more opportunities for challenge and growth, breakdowns and breakthroughs while learning to be more flexible and tolerate new feelings and situations.

The best part was to see the authentic conversations and bonding that started to take place. Seeing normally cautious clients dancing around a campfire and singing together was incredible, especially knowing how lonely disconnected, and isolated some of them had been feeling prior. I felt like every one of them left feeling better about themselves, and more compassionate, and closer to others. The environment helped to facilitate that and felt magical”.
